Body Dice

Play Vocabulary

The Body Dice is a dice ('stone' or 'pebble') that is used to represent the body size and mass of a creature or character. Depending on the game type, this dice may or may not be actually rolled in play, but it always acts as a signifier of the overall bulk of the creature.

An average man-sized creature or object is labelled medium, and is signified by a d6 (that is, a commonly-available six-sided cubic dice, or chance-cube).

A small creature or item (roughly on the order of half the size of a man, such as a small dog or large cat) uses a d4 (pyramidal four-sided dice).

A large creature such a lion or a troll (roughly double man-sized) implies a d8 (eight-sized dice).
