Little Boy Of The Mountain Afterward 2

I came to the end of the passage, and exited into the glorious light of day.

I was shocked to find myself quite high in a narrow gorge that opened out wide below me, with many cascading streams rushing down on all sides. The trees were strange, and the flowers were of the most curious and unfamiliar colours.'

How had that short cave gotten me here? It didn't seem geographically possible.

I saw a stone pathway leading off to the left and downward into some thick groves of short trees. Confused, and wanting to know where I was, I decided to follow it.

Walking for some time, always downhill, I came to a junction. I continued along the wider way, and eventually saw a little wooden signpost that pointed to the right. Indeed it showed that a small path - hardly to be noticed otherwise - left the main track and traversed down a little corridor of straight-boled deciduous trees.
