Agility
Play Vocabulary
Agility is a measure of capability for speed, dexterity, and finesse of movement.
A creature with higher agility than usual for it's species or kind is described as agile.
Agility pertains to 'speed' in the sense of 'quickness of motion' and 'nimbleness of limbs', but does not generally refer to the average or maximum running speed of a character or creature (ie. it's 'move speed').
A creature's Sinew vital statistic is it's primary measure of agility and dexterity, relative to the average for it's body type, but the specific moment-to-moment agility of a creature or mechanism is derived in a number of ways, depending on the style of game, and in particular, on the usage of dice as it pertains to a characters' vital statistics (see agility roll).
Relevant example spells:
In it's simplest cantrip? form, the known spell agility confers a +2 bonus to agility rolls for the duration of the spell (which is one round per caster level, up to seven rounds)
